Day 1: Arrival in Israel – The Journey Begins

Our adventure begins as we depart from London Heathrow and fly to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, we meet our guide and transfer to Nazareth, where we check into our hotel in the early hours. A good night’s rest prepares us for the incredible journey ahead.

Day 2: The Galilee – Walking in Jesus’ Footsteps

After breakfast, we set off to explore the beautiful Galilee region, where Jesus lived and taught. Our day begins at Ginosar, where we see a preserved 1st-century fishing boat, much like those used in Jesus’ time. We then enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, reflecting on the biblical stories that took place on these very waters. Next, we visit Capernaum, the town where Jesus taught in the synagogue, followed by a stop at the Mount of Beatitudes, the setting of the Sermon on the Mount. In the afternoon, we explore the ancient ruins of Bethsaida Julius (thought to be the home of the apostles Peter, Andrew, and Philip) and end the day in Magdala, where we see the remains of a 1st-century synagogue believed to have been visited by Jesus. We return to Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Upper Galilee & Haifa – History, Culture & Stunning Views

Today, we venture into the scenic Upper Galilee. Depending on the group’s preference, we may visit Mount Bental, offering breathtaking views over Syria, or stop at Yarden Winery to learn about local winemaking. An alternative option is to explore the Aramaic Christian community in Haifa. Later, we visit either an ancient synagogue at Bar’am National Park or return to Haifa to experience Aramaic heritage. After a traditional Aramaic ‘Passages’ meal (payable locally), we visit Technion, Israel’s leading science and technology institute, followed by a tour of Atlit, a historic site connected to Jewish immigration. Our final stop is the ancient port city of Acre, rich in Crusader and Ottoman history. We return to Nazareth for dinner and overnight at a new hotel.

Day 4: From Galilee to Jerusalem – A Journey Through Time

After breakfast, we check out and begin our journey toward Jerusalem. Our first stop is Sde Eliyahu, a religious kibbutz known for its organic farming and pioneering Bio Bee project. Continuing south, we pause at Mahane Yehuda Market, where we can enjoy a local falafel lunch (payable locally) and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Jerusalem’s famous market. In the afternoon, we visit CFI Jerusalem Offices and the Hope Centre, followed by a panoramic view of the city from the Mount of Olives. Walking the Palm Sunday route, we stop at Dominus Flavit (The Tear Drop Church) before spending time in prayer and reflection at the Garden of Gethsemane. The day concludes with a special visit to the Garden Tomb, where we reflect on the resurrection. We end the day with an amazing Shabbat dinner.
