Depart Heathrow on ElAl for our flight to Tel Aviv. Arrive and transfer to our hotel for overnight.
Depart your hotel and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region; visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman Theater and aqueduct. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Jezreel Valley and the lower Galilee. Continuing to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; learn the impressive history of this battle field as you visit the archaeological excavations, including the well-preserved water supply system. Time for a quick visit to the Nazareth Village before driving by Cana towards your Galilee hotel for dinner & overnight.
An amazing day of New Testament wonders begins with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee before visits to Capernaum, Tabgha, Mt. of Beatitudes, Banias and then a visit to the Golan Heights and an overview of Mt. Bental.
Heading away from Galilee, we will visit the Yardenit Baptismal Site (Jordan River) before heading to Beit Shean rich in Old Testament history. Thereafter we continue down the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea for a swim (float) before heading to Bethlehem and on to Jerusalem for our hotel and dinner. After dinner we will head out to pick up our Marathon Runners’ Packs!!
A day exploring Jerusalem taking in the Temple Mount, City of David/Hezekiah’s tunnel, Southern Steps, the Western Wall and Jewish Quarter before heading to the Holocaust Museum. Dinner and a good night’s sleep before the race!
MARATHON DAY! What more can we say!? Our bus will take us to the start before we embark on 26.2 or 13.1 miles around this amazing and historic city. Take in all the sights on a run you’ll never forget!
Recovery day!! Less time on a coach and more time moving is the order of the day today!! We’ll be taking in the Mt. of Olives, Palm Sunday Path, Garden of Gethsemane, St. Peter de Galicantu, Lions Gate, St. Anne's Church (Pools of Bethesda), Ecce Homo (Antonio's Fotress) and the Via Dolorosa including the Church of the Holy Sepluchre before ending the day at the Garden Tomb.
A trip to the Israel Museum home to the Second Temple Model & Shrine of the Book before heading to Tel Aviv airport for our afternoon flight home complete with memories of a lifetime
